Detail of Unnamed by Dariusz Klimczak Dariusz Klimczak Dariusz Klimczak was born in 1967 in Sieradz, Poland. He received a degree in Fine Arts from the Zduńska Wola Art School. His artwork is characterized by the digital and analogic manipulation of photographs to create surrealist scenes. Before diving into fine art photography, Klimczak worked as a painter, journalist, and aphorist. This experience led him to win the Grand Prix at the seventh edition of Aphoristic Contest in Nowy Targ, Poland. The juxtaposition between the empty landscape and the every-day object taken out of context, resulted from his influence by Salvador Dali’s works. Klimczak’s use of monochrome evokes simplicity and uncanniness, and intends to transport the viewer to an unrestricted imaginary world.
